In a Polk study evaluating which vehicles 19.3 million U.S. military families own, three Ford models stood out among the top 10. We at Shults Ford of Harmarville couldn’t be more proud to have so many Ford models owned by households with an active, veteran, or retired member of the military.
The always-popular Ford F-150 topped the list of best-selling vehicles among military families. The Ford Escape was the highest ranking utility vehicle on the list, sitting at the number three spot. The Ford Focus sedan placed number nine on the list, rounding out the automaker’s diverse list of vehicles driven by American military families.
Seeing Ford models throughout the top 10 list is a humbling reality. It means the men and women who are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom are willing to trust us with their lives and the lives of their families. That is a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and we know the folks at Ford Motor Company don’t either. Over 5,900 employees are either actively serving or have previously served in the military.
“Military families, in particular, desire the efficiency, capability and smart technology Ford vehicles offer,” said Jim Farley, Ford’s executive vice president of Global Marketing, Sales, Service.
“Ford has a long history of supporting active-duty military personnel and veterans, and it is an honor American military families buy Ford more than any other brand.”
