The Ford ICON50 Campaign Encourages Adventure

Despite the fact the Ford Mustang is 50 years old this year, it is anything but an old geezer. The recently launched Ford ICON50 Campaign is stirring up America by encouraging people to be more adventurous. Here at Shults Ford of Harmarville we’re excited about the new campaign.

Ford reports that over 42% of American said they can’t remember the last time they tried something new. What does that mean? That people are losing their sense of adventure. Ford hopes to reverse that trend, though. The Ford Mustang is the epitome of adventure, demonstrating power and grace on the asphalt.

The Ford VP of Global Marketing, Sales and Service, Jim Farley, said, “For five decades, Mustang has represented some of the best of American popular culture, inspiring a feeling of freedom, independence and adventure. We are excited to celebrate the iconic Mustang and encourage fans to embrace its spirit of adventure and try new cultural experiences.”

The 2015 Ford Mustang features a powerful new 3.7-liter V-6 engine, which generates over 435 horsepower (nearly four times the ’64 Mustang’s V6).
